Prepare to be dazzled by GLT's season opener! Joseph, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, puts a new twist on an old Bible story straight out of the Old Testament book of Genesis.

Joseph's eleven brothers are jealous of his favored status with father Jacob, who presents Joseph with a coat of many colors. The brothers sell Joseph into slavery in Egypt, where he endures a series of adventures before being heralded as a hero for interpreting Pharaoh's dreams and saving Egypt from a terrible famine. Joseph's brothers then turn for help from a brother they no longer recognize. Joseph is forced to either get his revenge or make peace with them, setting the stage for a poignant ending.

The well-loved story is told through an up-beat musical score of varying styles, bright costumes, splashy choreography and colorful lighting. Veteran GLT performer Connie Black and newcomer Dominique McClellan head up a cast of over 40 children and adults. Along with many more behind-the-scenes crew members and musicians working together with the cast, Joseph will be an unforgettable theatrical experience for GLT audiences. Don't miss it...and bring your children!
